  • Beautful location. Great communication. very clean and SO many wonderful little touches made it perfect for our family; beautiful (well marked) walking trails, local maple syrup (so yummy) to enjoy with a leisurely breakfast, proximity to PSC, the firepit (set up for match light with dry firewood nearby) for chatting late into the night. It was a wonderful weekend ! Thank you Bob and Sheila for a wonderful time!

Sheila and Bob are the best people you could ever meet in your life. Unfortunately, my wife had an accident during a hike and had to go to the hospital and Sheila was kinda enough to help me get my car and bring it to the hospital which took over 2 hours of her time. I really don't know how I can repay her. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

As for the place, it's fantastic. It'll blow your mind. We arrived in the evening right before it was getting dark. We prepped for dinner and had a lovely meal with the campfire lit and the beautiful stars above us. There was nothing more you could ask for. It was a perfect night. That's not even the best part. We woke up to a beautiful sunrise. That sunrise was the perfect start to my day. You won't regret staying here. I guarantee it.

Words can't describe how great Sheila and Bob is. They have all the answers you need for your questions about you trip. Again, I promise you. You will not regret staying here.

  • The log lean-to and surrounding property is a really fun place to camp. There is a natural rock climbing wall next to the campsite, and several trails looping around the area. We enjoyed the stars, hikes, and wildlife in the area very much.

We arrived at night and we could see the treehouse coming up the driveway and could already tell it was going to exceed our expectations. From the second we arrived, Sheila and her husband Bob were the most gracious hosts. They toured us around the campgrounds to show us where everything was and believe me when I say they provide literally everything you need except for food. Everything was very well cleaned and prepared and Sheila and Bob are very knowledgeable about what to do in the area and just overall great people to talk with. We will definitely be coming back to stay again

Highly recommended!! Thank you for sharing this awesome getaway with us. One weekend definitely was not enough and looking forward to coming back soon. Chrissy was so helpful at giving us the tour for the property. Shiela and Denali came to see how we were at night and she was great. Thank you for giving us tips around the area. Mountain Azure was worth the climb. Also, she showed us how the stars look during the dark and we saw a SHOOTING STAR just in time! it was such an awesome experience. Thank you so much this great place for a quick getaway from our city life.

All the reviews I read did measure up to our expectations! Beautiful property, very private, friendly helpful staff. It was our first visit to the Adirondacks and we were provided with printed out directions to spectacular sight seeing mts, nature walks, and nearby markets for anything we had forgotten or ran out of. This was an unforgettable camping trip we will never forget!

The magical treehouse is stunning to see in person - but walking inside makes you believe in magic for a second! (Light spoiler alert until the end of the paragraph, if you want to be extra surprised by how magical the treehouse is) - We arrived at night and the hosts had set it up with twiggy holiday lights wrapping around the interior room, elf music playing gently from a cd player, and a little faux-fireplace space heater. The walls are lined with novels and novelties that could provide days of intrigue, the forest views are upstaged by the cute furniture and handmade trimming, and a dining table had a little jar of homemade syrup next to a photo album of the treehouse being made. The magical feeling is clearly made a reality by decades of passion, experience, and love.

We visited the last week of November: it was essentially winter-camping. The hosts were clear about this up front and reached out before we even confirmed to make sure we'd be comfortable and prepared. The treehouse was maybe 2 degrees warmer than what was outside. The space heater up there accomplishes very little, although a heated blanked does make the bed somewhat cozier. We slept in sub-10 degree F weather the last night, and I had to wear long socks, two pants, two sweaters, and a hat pulled around my face. I was cozy and happy though! The bathroom is inside a well-heated cabin, and makes the mornings, evenings, and bathroom trips quite pleasant. It's really nice with a hot shower and plenty of space to change in the heat.

The property is adorable, we cooked at their huge firepit a few times. There is a screened-in cookhouse, which means it has 0 insulation as well. If you're cooking on the property, you'll be cooking outdoors (although under a roof with a nice table/campstove). The hosts provided sufficient firewood, although we brought a bit of our own and had an extra-big blaze.

Overall, I would highly recommend this experience (the winter version) to anyone who
    1) Can prepare and adapt for a full-on magical adventure. Do not under prepare for sleeping here.
    2) Can climb up slightly slippery, steep stairs. This does require some finesse to enter, I would not recommend it to my family with knee issues as much as they'd love the space.
    3) Likes nature, homemade carpentry, elf-vibes, really anything. If you can survive the cold and make it up the stairs, you'll make a life-long memory.

The hosts are extremely communicative and experienced, just reach out if you have questions!

  • Sheila & Bob’s place was truly amazing. We stayed during winter & Shelia gave us a full rundown of what to expect. It turned out to be even more amazing in the snow than we expected & we were warm with no problems cause of Shelia’s pre-travel information & the right preparation. We made food in their screened in cookhouse and made a fire with some marshmallows! It was definitely an unforgettable experience & I can’t wait to come again! Thank you both for being so welcoming & sharing your treehouse with the world!

  • We walked in to a warm, inviting atmosphere of music playing, light snow falling, a personalized note and complimentary maple syrup. The grounds were so well-marked that snowshoeing was easy and beautiful! It’s like paying for a whole, winter experience. Our life went on pause and we left refreshed. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing little house with complete privacy. We were gifted with a beautiful winter wonderland of our own in the stunning Adirondacks. The hosts were nothing short of amazing if we needed any help or recommendations for the area. The house was equipped with everything and anything you could think of, which made our lives much easier. We can't wait to come back and see what it's like during the other seasons!

  • My six year old said “This is the best camping ever. I wish we brought more food so we could live here.”

They have thought of everything! We felt so relaxed and welcomed staying at the lean-to. They have everything you need and more little fun touches.

The lean-this beautifully made, the property is fun and well thought out. The hosts are so friendly and thoughtful!

Make sure to try their maple syrup too, it is delicious (and that’s from a Canadian!).

Thanks again. We will be back!

The treehouse was a wonderful experience for my wife and I. We were at the very end of our road trip and wanted something special at the Adirondacks and the treehouse is a highlight. The place is clean and comfortable. Although there were along of bugs and mosquitos outside, we did not have bug trouble while inside the treehouse. The bathroom is closely located and the cookhouse is well-equipped. I would recommend to visitors to have this unique experience whenever they visit the Adirondacks

  • Overlook lean to was nothing short of amazing. It had so many amenities and Sheila and her husband were so nice! It rained the night we stayed and we all felt so cozy listening to the rain on the tin roof. The next morning we woke up to a beautiful view of fall leaves, dry and happy! I highly recommend this wonderful glamping experience.
